Why yoga

Waaaaaaaa

Restorative yoga.

What is restorative yoga? It is a pose, an asana, that is deeply nourishing. How could lying on a couple of cushions restore you? The truth is that most of our days we either sit on a chair that locks our hip against other movement or we lie in bed with our head locked in position and wake up stiff and sore.

What if we supported our body in every way, our head, neck, upper body, hips, and arms, with an eye pillow for a deep reset. We go inside ourselves gently and stay, listening to our body, resting the shoulder that holds the world and the hands that makes everything.  The aim of Restorative Yoga is to communicate with the brain through a pose that tells your central nervous system and body that there is no tension or danger.

After a while, the brain gets the message and will lower the stress hormones and increase the life enhancing hormones that we need to heal and be present in our life. Unlike other exercise, this practice places minimal metabolic demands on you and increases your energy. All the organs and systems of the body benefit from deep relaxation, creating a place for your body intelligence to shine.
